Mr Smith's Hardware Pages

These pages were generated by students to inform and entertain Mr Smith. Mr Smith is a businessman from South Wales who wants to get into the business of selling ICT equipment to the Rhondda Valley School Board (both of these entities, I hope, are completely fictitious - no resemblence to any living character or organisation intended, etc etc). More about this scenario is available in the IGCSE 0420 Computer Studies Moodle course (to be linked in here rsn, bug me about it).

The students initial task was to prepare an informative PowerPoint for Mr S - he paid them to do it (in Rhondda Valley Bobbits) - explaining key computing terms so that he wouldn't look a fool in making his sales pitch. You get the general idea, no doubt.

Contributions by Marco, Shaun and Paul. All about inputs, outputs, hardware for the disabled and including a quiz.

Contributions by HJ, x and y. All about Systems. Microprocessors, London Area Traffic Control, and CCTV.

Contributions by a, b and c. All about Primary and Secondary Memory devices.

Apologies in advance, the concept of optimising images for web transfer has yet to occur to most of my students who all must have massive bandwidth available. Also, if they stole your stuff without acknowledgement I'm sorry, the younger generation have no shame when it comes to copying and stealing resources from the web.
